SRH Vs. RCB: The Cricketing Clash of two IT Hubs & 3 Interesting points on their Match History

SRH Vs RCB is a match between the legends. Don’t agree? Well, the Sold-out tickets of the match, scheduled to be held on 7th May 2018 in Hyderabad, are yelling this story. The three-time Runner up in the League, RCB could unfortunately never get the trophy home but their scoreboard proves their capability and so does the games.

Did you know, that not just the upcoming game but 3 other games between the Orange Army and the Bengaluru Army become talk of the town each time SRH Vs. RCB is mentioned? Let’s take a sneak peak.

  1. SRH Vs RCB, IPL 2015: Held in Hyderabad, this match can not be forgotten by a true Sunrisers fan because of the way it ended. SRH won the toss and chose to bat, scoring 135 in 10 overs for loss of 3 wickets. Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) began chasing the score of 136 runs from 81 balls (Overs were reduced to rain) with Chris Gayle as the opening batsman. The game was in favour of SRH until the game came down to 12 off 4 balls and RCB fearing the same started playing an aggressive game. At 4 Runs to win and 2 balls left, Virat Kohli decided to hit a 4 and thus, opened his bat face to steer two Bhuvi Express Yorkers through a tightly packed offside ring. David Warner, the then Captain of SRH, caught the ball at long off side and SRH fans jumped in joy until seconds later when Warner stepped on the boundary cushions while catching the ball and…. RCB won the game by 6 wickets.

  1. SRH Vs RCB 2016: The Season itself was like an SRH Vs RCB season as the teams faced each other in league matches only to win against the other in their respective home grounds. And then they once again met at the battle ground of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru to play the final battle of the bats of 2016. While SRH won the title by 8 Runs; this was one epic game played between the legends. As they say what begins well, ends well. This game witnessed the same. After; SRH won the toss and chose to bat first, opening batsman David Warner scored 69 in 38 balls taking the scoreboard to 125/3 before he was bowled by Iqbal Abdulla. This thus setup a base for rest of the team to play calmly. RCB tried their best to win this game, with Chris Gayle scoring 76 runs out in 38 balls; yet SRH’s form and destiny helped them win the game.

  1. SRH VS RCB,2017: The last season was quiet disappointing for the guest team as they lost by 35 Runs from the orange army in our home grounds and when their time to take revenge arrived in Bengaluru, the match was abandoned without a bowl being bowled, thanks to the rain!

After reading about the 3 previous IPL Seasons, we are sure you too are excited to see who wins the upcoming league match in Hyderabad. Isn’t it? Will our home ground prove to be the lucky charm for the team once again or will RCB break our belief and win this game? Let’s watch the match Live and cheer for the team together!
